The fiber demister is a core separation device for efficiently removing tiny droplets, mist, and dust from industrial exhaust gases or process gases. By utilizing the composite effects of fiber filling materials' interception, inertial collision, Brownian diffusion, and electrostatic adsorption, it achieves high-precision capture of droplets and mist with particle sizes ≥0.1μm in the gas phase, with removal efficiency exceeding 99%. It is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, chemicals, environmental protection, metallurgy, and pharmaceuticals, solving issues like liquid carryover in process exhaust gases, excessive emissions of waste gases, and subsequent equipment corrosion. It is a standard equipment for gas-liquid separation and post-wet desulfurization/washing exhaust gas purification.

By equipment structural form

Vertical Fiber Demister: Vertical upward/downward gas flow, compact structure, small footprint, suitable for large air volume treatment and limited on-site space conditions, a mainstream model in the industry.

Horizontal Fiber Demister: Gas-phase horizontal cross flow, more even droplet collection, suitable for low wind speed and high precision demisting conditions, such as pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry exhaust gas treatment.

Categorized by the state of the capture medium

Wet Fiber Demister: Suitable for conditions with liquid droplets and mist in the gas phase (such as desulfurization tail gas from wet flue gas desulfurization and gas outlet from scrubbing towers), the packing layer can work with liquid, boasts high collection efficiency, and is the most widely used.

Dry Fiber Demister: Designed for conditions with dry dust and trace liquid mist in the gas phase, it requires no water washing and is equipped with an anti-sweeping device for cleaning the packing. Suitable for processes that are sensitive to water or lack water.

By pressure grade

Atmospheric Pressure Fiber Desiccant: Designed pressure range - 0.02~0.1 MPa, compatible with industrial exhaust emissions and atmospheric process gas treatment, a mainstream choice in the industry.

Low-pressure Fiber Desuperheater: Designed for pressure range of 0.1~0.6MPa, suitable for gas-liquid separation in pressurized processes, such as petrochemical pressurized reaction exhaust gas treatment.

Core Technology Parameters (Standard Industry Range, Customizable as Needed)

Capture Particle Size: ≥0.1μm (常规工况removal efficiency ≥99%, removal efficiency of droplets ≥1μm nearly 100%)

Operating Air Velocity: 1~5 m/s (mainstream 2~3 m/s; excessive air velocity may lead to secondary entrainment of droplets, while insufficient air velocity results in an oversized equipment volume)

Frictional Loss: 200~1000 Pa (significantly lower than that of wire mesh / baffle demisters, with low energy consumption; can be restored to its initial resistance after cleaning).

Design Temperature: -40℃ to 400℃ (customized according to filling material, standard temperature ≤ 80℃)

Design Pressure: Atmospheric to 0.6 MPa (standard is atmospheric pressure)

Operational Flexibility: 30%~110% (the dehumidification efficiency remains high within the range of 30%~110% of the design gas flow rate).

Applicable Scenarios

Core for removal of small liquid droplets, mist, and trace dust in the gas phase; covers two major fields: industrial exhaust gas treatment and process gas purification; typical application scenarios:

Petroleum Industry: Catalyst cracking tail gas, hydrogenation process tail gas, and mist removal from acid-base washing tower outlet gases to prevent corrosion of subsequent compressors/heat exchangers.

Chemical Industry: De-dusting of production by-products from sulfuric acid and other processes, fluoride gas treatment, and removal of trace droplets from fine chemical process gases.

Environmental Industry: Coal / Gas Power Plant Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Mist Removal, Waste Incineration Flue Gas Treatment, and Pre-treatment Flue Gas Dewatering for VOCs Management.

Metallurgy Industry: Blast furnace gas and converter gas dedusting and mist removal, and acid mist removal from non-ferrous metal smelting off-gases.

Pharmaceutical / Food Industry: Distillation towers and drying towers for export gas demisting, ensuring product purity and preventing tail gas from carrying material.

Other: Compressor inlet air defogging, steam condensate water recovery pre-liquid-liquid separation, acid mist treatment in electroplating industry.
