To minimize positioning errors and improve the precision of gear rack processing, we select a unified and coincident positioning method during the manufacturing process. When positioning the inner hole, the clearance should be minimized as much as possible. The positioning face and the positioning hole or the outer diameter should be machined in the fixture to ensure the perpendicularity requirements. The processing process includes the following steps: rough machining of the blank, gear surface processing, heat treatment, and the fine finishing of the gear surface. How is the processing flow of this process?

Its blank parts are mainly forgings, billets, or castings, with forgings being the most commonly used. The blanks are first normalized to optimize their machinability and facilitate cutting; then, rough machining is performed, shaping the blanks roughly according to the gear design requirements, retaining a significant amount of excess material.

2. Further semi-finishing operations include turning, rolling, and gear cutting to achieve the basic shape; then, gears are heat-treated to optimize their mechanical properties, with methods varying according to application requirements and material used, such as quenching, carburizing, and high-frequency induction heating quenching on the gear surface; finally, gears are finely processed, with precise adjustments to the reference points and fine finishing of the gear shape.

2. Next, undergo semi-finished processing, including turning, rolling, and gear cutting to achieve the basic shape. Subsequently, the gears are heat-treated to optimize their mechanical properties. Depending on the application requirements and the materials used, this includes processes such as tempering, carburizing and quenching, and high-frequency induction heating quenching on the gear surface. Finally, the gears are finished processed, with precise finishing of the reference points and gear profiles.
