The PS plate used in the printing process refers to an aluminum plate, also known as a晒版. A high-quality PS plate must have a flat surface, stable dimensions, even thickness, and be resistant to deformation. The surface should be free of dirt, scratches, and imperfections.

The adhesive liquid must firmly bond with the photosensitive layer without undergoing chemical changes, and after surface treatment, it should possess good hydrophilicity and abrasion resistance. It must also have high printing resistance to prevent issues with the PS plate. However, meeting all these requirements is not an easy task.

The primary reason for using PS plates for offset printing is their dense, hard oxide layer, which offers high ink resistance. After exposure, the plates show distinct color differences, have a wide development tolerance, high resolution, and allow for timely detection and avoidance of color discrepancies.

Due to the unique extrusion spread coating process used in the PS version, the coating is flat and uniformly thick, making it highly suitable for high-quality, intricate, and detailed printing products such as high-quality art albums.

With a surface coated with a gas-permeable nap layer, it enhances the adhesion to the diazo film, shortens the vacuum extraction time, and better prevents the occurrence of halation. Due to these many advantages of the PS plate, Shanxi Color Printing is widely applied.
