The robotics industry is currently thriving, profoundly transforming human production and lifestyles. Industrial robots, such as mechanical arms, unmanned vehicles, and collaborative robots, have deeply integrated with production across various fields; special robots like underwater, fire-fighting, emergency rescue, and safety patrol robots are also advancing rapidly.
To promote the high-quality development of the robotics industry,At the end of 2021, according to the "14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035" of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Emergency Management, and 13 other departments jointly formulated and issued the "14th Five-Year Development Plan for the Robot Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan").
The "Plan" proposes, toIn 2025, the density of manufacturing robots doubles, with a focus on advancing the development and application of underwater robots for exploration, monitoring, and operations, as well as robots for hazardous environment tasks such as firefighting, emergency rescue, safety inspections, nuclear industry operations, and marine fishing. Accelerate the establishment of access standards for robots in mining, electricity, construction, and other fields.
The "Plan" proposes to launch"The 'Robot+' Application Initiative, focusing on deepening industry applications according to specific scenarios, expanding emerging applications, and strengthening distinctive applications."
"Robot+ Innovation in Application Practices"
To implement the key tasks proposed in the "Plan" and accelerate the expansion of robot applications, at the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Emergency Management, etc.17 departments jointly issued the Implementation Plan for the "Robot+" Application Action (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan").

The "Plan" selects manufacturing, agriculture, construction, energy, trade and logistics, healthcare and elderly care services, commercial community services, safety and emergency response, and extreme environment applications.10 Key Areas to Deepen the Application of "Robot+."
The "Plan" proposes the development of robotic products for fields such as mining, civilian explosives, public security, emergency rescue, and extreme environments. It aims to enhance functionalities like robotic stereoscopic vision, outdoor navigation and positioning, multi-dimensional information perception, remote disaster warning, and robotic authentication and control. The plan also focuses on developing adaptive technologies for robots to operate in complex unstructured environments such as extreme cold, open flames, high temperature and pressure, flammable and explosive materials, high altitude and low pressure, toxicity, high humidity, waterlogging, high dust levels, radiation, and varying crowd sizes. It strengthens the application of robots in hazardous environments such as fire inspections, engineering rescue, hazardous chemical ship rescue, natural disaster rescue, safety production accident rescue, and nuclear emergency safety rescue. Additionally, it promotes the application of robots in extreme environments like space, underwater, and deep earth.
