详细Info

Chrysanthemum Peach (Chrysanthemum Peach) is a deciduous small tree. The branches are reddish-brown with a glossy finish, the buds are densely covered with gray downy fur, the leaves are elliptic-lanceolate, and the flowers are solitary with red hues. Flowering period is in April, and the fruit ripens from July to August.

Thrives in high summer temperatures, enjoys sunlight and drought resistance, does not tolerate wet conditions, and has some cold tolerance.

Due to its versatility, it is widely planted in parks, courtyards, green spaces, and other scenic spots in northern regions.

Chrysanthemum Peach is a deciduous shrub or small tree of the Rosaceae family and Prunus genus, with a gray-brown trunk, slender branches, glossy and hairless, green, turning red in sunny locations. Winter buds are conical, often in clusters, with the center being a leaf bud and the sides flower buds. The leaves are elliptic-lanceolate. Flowers bloom in the axils of leaves, pink or red, double-petaled, resembling chrysanthemums in full bloom, with very short or nearly stemless peduncles; the calyx is bell-shaped, with crimson flowers; the ovary is covered with short soft hairs. They bloom from March to April, with flowers opening before or with the leaves. Generally, they do not bear fruit after blooming. Originally from the Qing Dynasty in China, they were later lost. In the mid-1980s, they were reintroduced from Japan. They thrive in sunny, well-ventilated environments, resistant to drought, high temperatures, and severe cold, but not shade tolerant and avoid waterlogging. They are suitable for growth in loose, fertile, well-drained soils with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. The Chrysanthemum Peach is not very large, with a compact shape, abundant blooming, unique flower shape, vibrant colors, high ornamental value, and can be planted in courtyards, pathways, squares, lawns, and other garden areas. They can be potted for ornamental purposes or made into bonsai, and their flowering branches can be cut and placed in vases for display.
