Superior Insulating Materials – Silicone Rubber
The development and advancement of insulating materials directly constrain and influence the progress of electrical products. Prior to the 20th century, insulating materials were predominantly derived from natural materials or their derivatives, lacking adequate fire, water, and temperature resistance. It was not until the 1950s that insulating materials truly entered a new era of development based on synthetic polymers. New insulating materials, represented by silicone rubber, have increasingly been favored by the electrical products industry, particularly for products like wires and cables, lithium batteries, and new energy products.
This is primarily due to the excellent properties of silicone rubber, such as its non-toxicity, odorlessness, sealing, elasticity, resistance to high and low temperatures, ozone aging, and weather aging, as well as its superior electrical insulation properties and processing characteristics. Under the action of high-temperature flames, refractory silicone rubber can form a hard ceramicized armor protective layer, which can act as a barrier against flames, fire prevention, insulation, heat resistance, water resistance, and vibration resistance, thereby maintaining the integrity of the circuit and ensuring the smooth flow of power and communication.
Superior Insulation Material Supplier
Baoheng Insulation, located in Yixing, Jiangsu, one of China's three major cable manufacturing bases, is a leading domestic developer and manufacturer of insulation materials. Over the years, it has introduced advanced international science and technology as well as equipment, focusing on the research, production, and manufacturing of silicone rubber for various wires and cables. It has established an overall marketing system and service network that is centered in the Yangtze River Delta and extends across the nation.
Baojie is committed to the research and development, as well as the upgrade and improvement of new materials. Focusing on market and customer needs, we continuously enhance material processes and innovation in application technologies. We have now established three product series of refractory silicone rubber, offering a variety of different specifications and models. We hold 5发明专利 and 3 utility model patents, and can develop new products and provide customized services based on our customers' actual needs.
Three Key Features
High refractory temperature
Under flame conditions ranging from 350-3000°C, a ceramic-like shell can be formed, boasting excellent fire and heat resistance. Above 500°C without flame and under 620°C flame erosion, the material sintered into a hard ceramic-like object, with the ceramicization effect becoming more pronounced as the erosion time and temperature increase, reaching up to 3000°C. The refractory grade meets the GB/T12666 Class A standard and can also pass the UK BS6387 CWZ grade water spray, vibration, and fire resistance tests.
Low cost, high quality
The production and processing technology for flame-retardant silicone rubber wire and cable is identical to that of ordinary silicone rubber wire and cable, and even requires no changes to the process or additional equipment. There's no need to wrap with mica tape, asbestos, or other secondary extrusion molding. It can serve as both a fire-retardant layer and an insulating layer, as well as an inner sheath, thereby simplifying the processing technology for flame-retardant wire and cable, significantly reducing costs.
3. Eco-friendly materials
When refractory silicone rubber encounters flame ablation, it burns for 2-4 minutes before beginning to sinter into a hard ceramic casing, effectively blocking further flame combustion; smoke is completely extinguished in about 2-4 minutes, and no smoke is produced during the subsequent ablation process. The smoke produced prior to this is halogen-free, non-toxic, and harmless.
