What are the environmental requirements for equipment disassembly?

    2025-05-17

Environmental requirements for scrap car dismantling equipment primarily include the following aspects:

    • Prevent Wastewater Pollution
    • Install oil-water separator equipmentEquipped with oil-water separators meeting the requirements of HJ 348, the waste oil-containing wastewater generated during the dismantling process is treated, separating the waste oil and water to prevent oil substances from entering water bodies and causing pollution.
    • Equipped with waste fluid collection devicesEquipped with dedicated waste fluid collection devices and specialized sealed containers for categorically storing various waste fluids such as engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant, etc., to prevent leaks from contaminating soil and water bodies.
    • Achieve separation of clean and polluted water streamsIn accordance with HJ 348 regulations, we implement clear and dirty water separation, collecting and discharging rainwater, clean water, and polluted wastewater separately to avoid increased treatment difficulty and costs upon mixing. Additionally, we ensure that sewage meets the required standards for discharge, with wastewater needing to be treated to meet both national and local emission standards before being released into the municipal sewage system or natural water bodies.
    • Control Emissions
    • Refrigerant RecoveryWhen dismantling automotive air conditioning systems, refrigerants should first be collected using a motor vehicle air conditioning refrigerant recovery unit and sealed containers for classifying various refrigerants, to prevent their release into the atmosphere and potential damage to the ozone layer.
    • Waste Gas TreatmentFor exhaust gases generated during disassembly processes, such as smoke from cutting and welding, as well as volatile organic emissions from residual gasoline and diesel inside the vehicle, effective collection and treatment measures should be implemented, including the installation of ventilation equipment and exhaust purification systems, to ensure compliance with emission standards.
    • Reduce Noise Pollution
    • Choose Low-Noise EquipmentWe prioritize the use of low-noise dismantling equipment, such as hydraulic shears and silent crushers, to reduce noise generation at the source.
    • Implement noise reduction measuresFor equipment with high noise levels, such as compressors and fans, vibration pads and noise suppressors should be installed to reduce noise transmission. Additionally, schedule disassembly work during non-residential rest hours to avoid high-noise operations.
    • Regulate Solid Waste Management
    • General Waste ManagementDuring the disassembly process, general solid waste generated, such as scrap metal, plastic, rubber, glass, etc., should be collected and stored separately, and recycled or disposed of in accordance with relevant regulations. Storage sites should have general industrial solid waste storage facilities meeting the requirements of GB18599.
    • Hazardous Waste ManagementFor hazardous waste listed in the "National List of Hazardous Waste," such as waste batteries, waste circuit boards, and waste oil filter elements, strict management in accordance with relevant regulations is required. Hazardous waste should be categorized and stored in facilities meeting the requirements of GB18597, with clear identification signs for hazardous waste and a management ledger established to record information on the generation, storage, transfer, and disposal of hazardous waste. Additionally, disposal should be entrusted to units with the corresponding qualifications to ensure safe and legal treatment of hazardous waste.
    • Other requirements
    • Site Ground WaterproofingThe ground of decommissioning and storage sites (including temporary storage) should be solidified and impermeable, meeting the GB50037 requirements for oil-proof ground to prevent the leakage of waste water and waste liquids into the ground, contaminating soil and groundwater.
    • The decommissioning site has good ventilation. The decommissioning site should be an enclosed or semi-enclosed structure, ensuring good ventilation and lighting, with complete safety and environmental protection facilities to safeguard the health and safety of the operators, while minimizing the accumulation of exhaust gases indoors.
