Polyurethane thermal insulation material is currently one of the most effective insulation materials, boasting advantages such as light weight, low thermal conductivity, excellent heat resistance, and aging resistance, as well as ease of adhesion with other base materials. It is widely used as thermal insulation for building roofs, walls, ceilings, floors, and windows. As an excellent high-performance polymer material, the global total output of polyurethane thermal insulation has exceeded 10 million tons per year. In recent years, China's polyurethane industry has made significant progress, and the vigorous promotion in building energy-saving fields will create tremendous development opportunities for the Chinese polyurethane industry.
The insulated pipelines are categorized based on the temperature of the medium they transport: high-temperature polyurethane pre-insulated pipelines and low-temperature polyurethane pre-insulated pipelines. They are further divided by the type of external protective layer: glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) coated polyurethane pre-insulated pipelines, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) coated polyurethane pre-insulated pipelines, steel coated polyurethane pre-insulated pipelines, and other coated pre-insulated pipelines.
