Reasons for Wear or Breakage of Connecting Links in Heavy-duty Chain Plate Conveyors
The chain link of the heavy-duty chain conveyor has been damaged. In actual use, since the chain link is often slightly larger than the conveyor chain and experiences more significant wear, it has become the weakest link in the entire transmission chain. The primary forms of its failure are severe wear, breakage, and separation, and the main causes include:
Long-term cyclic loading, fatigue failure.
②Chain links or bolts became loose and fell off without timely remediation, resulting in uneven force distribution or detachment of the chain loop on the heavy-duty chain plate conveyor.
③ Damage: The single-side wear of heavy-duty chain plate conveyors is more significant, and failure to replace them promptly can easily lead to breakage.
④ After a chain jam, it generates significant dynamic and impact loads, causing a sudden and substantial stabilization in the speed of the chain's movement. This leads to unstable operation of the heavy-duty chain conveyor, thereby accelerating the wear or breakage of the connecting links.
⑤ Poor quality in production and manufacturing, characterized by low wear resistance or toughness, low hardness, or stress concentration leading to fatigue cracks, resulting in insufficient strength.
