What are the causes of chain failure in a chain conveyor?
1. The chain link has slipped out of the slot in the chain plate machine, with the main causes being:
The chain plate of the chain conveyor failed to be laid flat and straight as per the design specifications during installation, instead presenting an uneven, moderately curved surface.
Significant wear on the conveyor belt or the conveyor belt machine groove, causing excessive gaps between them.
③ The chains on both sides of the chain conveyor are not the same, leading to uneven force distribution.
④ The chain plate deforms slightly to create a moderate curve, thereby reducing the distance between the chain links.
The chain tension on the chain plate conveyor is insufficient, leading to chain accumulation at the end of the machine, which makes the chain plates prone to falling out of the conveyor slots.
2. The energy chain wheel and the transmission chain must not engage abnormally, which could lead to the transmission chain slipping off the energy chain wheel, presenting the so-called "jumping teeth" phenomenon. The primary cause is:
①Significant wear on the energy chain wheel or contamination with foreign objects.
Two chains of the chain conveyor are not evenly tight.
③Significant tilt or excessive spacing of conveyor chains
④ The engine head assembly is not properly positioned, and the vertical alignment of the chain with the engine head does not meet specifications.
The gap between the energy chain sprocket and the transmission shaft on the chain conveyor is too large, causing the energy chain sprocket to tilt or vibrate.
