Calendar and Desk Calendar Design Process:
1. Firstly, the client needs to clearly define the theme displayed on the calendar stand, which will make the design purpose more evident and facilitate the overall style control.
2: We require the client to provide the images to be displayed, along with relevant text descriptions, as well as the company logo and some related image elements.
3. Customers need to specify the number of calendar pages required, typically 13 pages, though 7-page options are available. The back of the 13-page calendar usually includes a notebook function and corporate information. The space for this can be customized according to the customer's needs.
4: Require customer to provide paper specifications, typically 157g C1S paper, can be laminated, available in matte and glossy finishes, customer's choice.
5: Customer needs to provide the total number of finished products printed.
Both parties have completed communication. The design company provides a draft of the calendar, further communicates with the client, and both parties reach a consensus. The final draft is then set. Before mass printing, the designer will provide a completed copy for the client's confirmation.
Calendar and Desk Calendar Printing: Key Points to Note
Font-related issues
① Some font libraries have different description methods, resulting in transparency when overlapping strokes are output. Be cautious!
② Paragraphs containing special Chinese and English characters, such as "■, @, ★, ○," are prone to issues.
③ Utilize the new GBK character set to address the issue of rare character loss.
④ Avoid using fonts that are too thin and avoid overlapping with more than 3 colors, such as (C10M30Y80), etc. Similarly, dark backgrounds with white text are not recommended. If unavoidable, outline the white text with a complementary color to the background or a single printing color (usually black K).
Gradient issue
Common issue: Gradient from red to black, setting error: (M100→K100) looks terrible in the middle!
The correct setup should be like this: (M100→M100K100). Analyze it carefully, and the pattern will be clear for other situations as well.
