Integrated precast pump station with water level configuration standard for the sedimentation pond
The design high water level of an integrated precast pump station sedimentation tank should meet the requirements for effective volume. Generally, the specifications of an integrated precast pump station can be made level with the design water surface elevation of the influent canal. However, the design high water level within the sedimentation tank should not exceed the top of the influent pipe.
In a wastewater system with an intermediate pumping station, the high water level in the downstream pumping station's collection pond should consider the impact of water surge height after the sudden stop of the integrated prefabricated pumping station.
The pool bottom elevation of an integrated precast pump station should be determined based on the bottom elevation of the incoming water channel, the design low water level, and the pump model. When using centrifugal pumps and mixed-flow pumps, the pool bottom elevation is generally set 1.5 to 2.0 meters below the bottom elevation of the incoming water channel.
The integrated precast pump station sump should be equipped with a collecting pit, with a depth of 0.5~0.7m preferred. The gradient of the sump bottom towards the collecting pit should not be less than 10%, and facilities to prevent sludge sedimentation and decomposition should be installed.
