How to Connect FRP Pipe

Fiberglass pipe has quietly渗透 into all aspects of life, and its uses are diverse. When it comes to pipe connections, what methods should we choose? Below, we introduce several methods that can be selected based on actual circumstances.

1. Wrap Jointing: This type of joint involves aligning two pipes and then wrapping different sizes of reinforced materials (glass cloth, felt, or felt reinforced with coarse yarn) soaked in resin to achieve the appropriate thickness and width. This joint offers good sealing properties and can withstand higher internal pressure, commonly used for connecting straight pipes, elbows, tees, and reducers.

2. Expansion socket connection: This type of joint design is varied, typically involving the creation of a bell mouth expansion at one end of the pipe, into which the next pipe section is inserted. Usually, a circular (or other shaped) rubber gasket is used for sealing, hence this method is sometimes referred to as an "O-ring" joint.

3. Pipe Saddle Connection: A saddle with a diameter slightly larger than the pipe is used, with the inner surface coated in clay. The outer ends of the two glass steel pipes are also coated with clay, and then the pipes are inserted into the saddle. The clay sets, and the connection is ready for use.

Hose Connector: This connector simply involves slipping a rubber sleeve over the ends of two pipes, securing each end with a stainless steel band, and tightening it with screws.
