Glass fiber reinforced plastic grating is widely used in various applications, and you can often see glass fiber railing along the roadside. Many friends may not be very familiar with glass fiber railing, so let's take a closer look at it.

Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) grating is manufactured using molding techniques. Compared to traditional fences, it is lighter, stronger, more corrosion-resistant, and offers higher safety. Depending on the molding process, GFRP grating panels can be categorized into extruded polyester grating and cast polyester grating.

Glass reinforced plastic (GRP) grating finds extensive applications, including walkways, offshore oil platforms, operational platforms, wastewater treatment, stair treads, fences, rooftop platforms, ship decks, and corrosion-resistant shelving. The size of the GRP grating varies depending on the specific use, but standard sizes are generally available, with hole sizes typically at 38mm x 38mm or 50mm x 50mm. The required length and width are determined based on the actual conditions.

Although we don't often encounter fiberglass grating, it is indeed a common building material in our daily life. Many civil buildings utilize fiberglass grating, so understanding some specifications is always beneficial.
