Cement wall panels are widely used in rural and industrial settings as precast concrete walling, boasting the advantages of simple construction, low cost, and aesthetic appeal. Particularly, the installation of cement walls is straightforward and convenient, which is why they are favored by both users and installers. Now, how are the cement wall posts secured during installation?
There are primarily two methods for securing concrete fence posts: direct burial and the use of concrete column bases. The latter involves using concrete-made columns to stabilize the fence posts, where concrete mixers are transported to the site, pumped in by truck-mounted pumps, and poured in layers following a specific order and direction. Vibrator plates should be used during the pouring process. Each layer is laid at 50 cm intervals, with inclined vibration techniques employed along the pouring sequence, with vibration rods tilted approximately 30° from the horizontal plane. The rods should face forward, with an appropriate spacing of 30 cm to prevent missed areas. Each layer should be vibrated until the concrete no longer settles. When the height of adjacent pier bases is consistent, the arrangement of the piers is based on the requirements of the upper structure and construction conditions. The height of the pier base entering the maintenance layer should be over 300mm.
However, the common method for securing cement wall pillars is to fix the cement wall pillars directly. This means that during the installation of cement wall pillars, a pre-buried leg of 60cm depth is first used, followed by placing the cement wall pillar, then inserting the cement wall pillar directly into the slot, waiting until all the cement wall pillars are placed in the slots, and then measuring to ensure they are in a straight line.
Note: The burial depth of concrete wall pillars is not fixed. Generally, the height of the concrete wall is around 2.5 meters, with the burial depth of the pillars at about 60cm. However, if the height of the concrete wall requested by the customer exceeds 2.5 meters, the pre-burial height of the concrete wall pillars must be increased. Moreover, the taller the concrete wall, the deeper the embedded height of the pillars. Filling materials include concrete, on-site soil, and special materials. The choice of filling material should be based on the site environment and wind resistance.
