Taboo 1
During pressure and tightness tests of the pipeline system, only the pressure values and water level changes were observed, with insufficient leakage checks.
Consequence: A leakage occurred in the pipeline system after its operation, affecting normal usage.
Action: During the testing of the pipeline system according to design requirements and construction specifications, it is crucial to carefully inspect for any leakage issues in addition to recording pressure or water level changes within the specified time.
Taboo 2
During pressure and tightness tests of the pipeline system, only the pressure values and water level changes were observed, with insufficient leakage checks.
Consequence: A leakage occurred in the pipeline system after its operation, affecting normal usage.
Measures: During the testing of the pipeline system according to design requirements and construction specifications, it is essential to not only record pressure or water level changes within the specified time but also meticulously inspect for any leakage issues.
Taboo 3
During pipe welding, the ends of the pipes are not aligned on a single centerline after fitting, gaps are not left between the ends, the thick-walled pipes are not beveled, and the width and height of the weld seam do not meet the construction specification requirements.
Consequences: Pipe misalignment not centered directly impacts welding and aesthetic quality. Without gaps for alignment, not beveling thick-walled pipes, and when the weld width and height do not meet requirements, welding fails to achieve the required strength.
Measures: After welding the ends of the pipes, they must not be misaligned and should be aligned on a single central line. Gaps should be left at the joints, and the thicker-walled pipes require beveling. Additionally, the width and height of the weld seams should be焊接 in accordance with the specified standards.
Taboo 4
Poor quality expansion bolts for fixed pipeline supports, oversized bore holes for installing the expansion bolts, or installation on brick walls or lightweight walls.
Consequence: Pipe supports became loose, causing deformation in the pipes, and in some cases, even detachment.
Measures: Select qualified expansion bolts, and conduct sampling tests when necessary. The hole diameter for installing expansion bolts should not exceed 2mm more than the outer diameter of the bolts. Expansion bolts are applicable to concrete structures.
Taboo 5
Wastewater, rainwater, and condensate pipes are concealed without being subjected to a water-tightness test.
Consequences: Potential for water leakage, resulting in user losses.
Action: The closure water test should be strictly inspected and accepted according to the specifications. Dark installations such as underground installations, suspended ceilings, and pipe rooms, including sewage, rainwater, and condensate water pipes, must ensure no leakage or seepage.
