Orthoclase is an aluminum silicate mineral containing potassium, sodium, and calcium, among other alkaline and alkaline earth metals, also known as the feldspar group minerals. Potassium orthoclase, represented by the chemical formula K2O·Al2O3·6SiO2, is commonly referred to as orthoclase. Potassium feldspar ore is rich in microcline, with orthoclase following, and perthite being less common. It is primarily used as a ceramic raw material, and also serves as a raw material or filler for glass, enamel, papermaking, chemicals, paints, and refractories. It can also be used as a potassium fertilizer.
The EDX9000B plus boasts an exceptional linear dynamic range, enabling precise process control and quality control for potassium feldspar ore and raw materials.
The new generation Fast SDD detector, featuring a novel vacuum optical path system and high-resolution technology, achieves excellent analysis results for light, medium, and heavy elements in potassium feldspar, as well as common oxides such as Na2O, MgO, Al2O3, SiO2, P2O5, SO3, K2O, CaO, TiO2, Cr2O3, MnO, Fe2O3, ZnO, and SrO.
