Therefore, the installation contractor must be a unit that has been reviewed and approved by the boiler and pressure vessel supervision departments at the provincial, municipal, or autonomous region level, i.e., a certified unit. Alternatively, if the user decides to install the autoclave themselves, they must not only obtain approval from the superior administrative authority but also the consent of the provincial boiler and pressure vessel supervision department. This means that the provincial supervision and inspection department must recognize the qualifications of the self-installation unit before they can proceed with the installation. Various models of steam autoclaves are typically disassembled into multiple pieces for shipment to the customer. It is crucial for the user to promptly conduct a thorough inventory of the components upon arrival. During the inventory process, if any missing parts or deformation or damage caused by transportation that poses a risk to the normal operation and safety of the autoclave are found, repairs must be made before installation and use.

If the autoclave is installed by the entrusted installation unit, the counting, inspection, and acceptance must be carried out simultaneously with the installation contractor. After the counting and acceptance are correctly verified, the installation drawings and technical documents, along with the autoclave, should be handed over to the installation unit. However, the installation unit should also deliver the aforementioned materials, the installation quality certificate, and installation data to the user upon completion of the installation.

When placing the autoclave body on-site, it should be supported by two supports, ensuring even contact between the supports and the autoclave body. The distance between the two supports should be approximately 3/5 of the autoclave's length, and they should be symmetrically arranged. For those not yet installed, at least four supports should be evenly placed, with the support ends not exceeding 2.5 meters, ensuring even contact with the autoclave body. This is done to prevent deformation of the autoclave body. Additionally, anti-corrosion measures should be taken.
