Submersible PumpIt's a versatile water treatment tool. Unlike standard pumps that operate on land, this submersible pump works underwater.
1. Working Principle of Submersible Pumps
Before starting the submersible pump, ensure that the suction pipe and the pump are filled with liquid. Once the pump is turned on, the impeller rotates at high speed, and the liquid in the submersible pump rotates along with the blades. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is propelled away from the impeller. As it exits, the liquid slows down in the diffuser chamber of the pump housing, gradually increasing in pressure, and is then discharged through the outlet pipe. At this point, a vacuum low-pressure area is formed in the middle of the blades due to the liquid being thrown outward, containing neither air nor liquid. The liquid in the sump is drawn into the submersible pump through the suction pipe due to the atmospheric pressure at the surface of the pool. This process of continuously suctioning up the liquid from the sump and continuously discharging it through the outlet pipe is continuous. Basic parameters of the submersible pump include flow rate, head, pump speed, matching power, rated current, efficiency, pipe diameter, and so on.
