3.2 Requirements Post-Cessation of Centrifugal Pump Operation
After the centrifugal pump stops operating, close the pump's inlet valve and then, after the pump has cooled down, close the valves of the auxiliary system in turn.
②High-temperature pump shutdown should be carried out according to the equipment's technical specifications. After shutdown, the pump should be rotated half a turn every 20 to 30 minutes until the pump body temperature drops to 50℃.
③During shutdown of low-temperature pumps, the pump should be kept filled with liquid unless otherwise specified; both the suction and discharge valves should remain open; for low-temperature pumps with double-face mechanical seals, the liquid level controller and the sealing fluid in the pump's sealing chamber should maintain the grouting pressure of the pump.
④ Pumps for transporting media that are prone to crystallization, solidification, and sedimentation should prevent clogging after shutdown and be flushed with clean water or other media promptly. ⑤ Drain the accumulated liquid in the pump to prevent rusting and cracking due to freezing.
