Sterilizer Safety Operating Procedures

1. Adhering to the sterilizing pot operation process specifications, with a working pressure of 0.18 Mpa and a working temperature of 121℃.

2. Sterilizer Operation Method:

First, pour 90℃ hot water into the drum containing the goods.

b. Add 0.15 MPa of compressed air to the can.

Open steam valve, heat up.

d. Upon reaching the specified temperature, close the steam valve to maintain a constant temperature.

Maintain at a constant temperature for the required duration (the time for which different products are kept warm varies).

f. After reaching the insulation time, drain the hot water inside the tank and inject cold water simultaneously, while maintaining the tank pressure stable (usually between 0.18-0.2Mpa). If the pressure drops, an air compressor is required to replenish the air.

3. Monitor the water level gauge; once the cool water is filled, if the temperature indicator is around 30℃-50℃, the cooling process is complete. Drain an appropriate amount of cool water from the tank, relieve pressure, open the lid, and retrieve the goods.

4. This equipment must not be operated beyond its designed pressure (0.3 Mpa) or temperature (140℃).

Employees must strictly adhere to safety operation procedures and their job responsibilities, ensuring that safety accessories are always complete, sensitive, and reliable. Any abnormal situations should be addressed promptly.

6. The sterilizing pot is equipped with safety valves, pressure gauges, and temperature gauge accessories. During operation, it is essential to enhance maintenance and regular calibration. The safety valve's opening pressure of this equipment equals the design pressure and should be kept sensitive, reliable, and prevent arbitrary adjustments. The pressure gauge's accuracy should not be lower than 2.5 levels.

Seal pressure gauges must not be used; their accuracy should be checked at least once a year. Immediate replacement is required for any malfunctioning pressure gauge indicators, unclear scales, cracked dials, pointers not returning to the original position after pressure release, or damaged seals. Thermometers should be regularly calibrated; before use, they should be verified against a standard thermometer, and should be recalibrated annually. Any mercury column breakage or a difference of more than 0.5℃ from the standard thermometer requires repair or replacement.

The sterilizing pot should be inspected regularly; at least one external check per year and one internal inspection every three years are recommended.

8. During operation, it is essential to regularly apply lubricating grease and oil to the sliding and rolling contact parts such as lock blocks and active rings to ensure the friction surfaces remain lubricated.

When the sealing ring on the kettle body flange surface becomes aged, damaged, or experiences excessive friction, it should be replaced promptly to ensure a seal and prevent leakage.
