During winter in northern regions, when the ambient temperature is low, circulating water in closed systems can freeze even when circulating to maintain flow without any thermal load. Appropriate frost prevention measures are essential. Two suitable methods are recommended: 1. Maintain a certain thermal load on the circulating water to ensure it remains above 7°C (in southern regions, 3°C is sufficient). This can generally be achieved by installing immersion electric heaters or steam heating coils within the piping system; (as shown in Figure 1: electric heating in the water tank or Figure 2: auxiliary heater in the pipeline) simultaneously keeping the flow rate of the circulating water in the closed system low. 2. An effective method is to add antifreeze solution to the closed system. The ratio can be referenced in the following table. For the specific implementation of frost prevention measures, please work with our company to develop a plan.
