253MA/S30815 Stainless Steel

253MA is a heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel, designed for applications requiring high creep strength and excellent corrosion resistance. It exhibits high-temperature properties similar to those of high-alloyed steels and nickel-based alloys in many cases. Due to its balanced chemical composition, this steel boasts excellent comprehensive properties within the temperature range of 850℃-1100℃, with high oxidation resistance and an oxidation scale temperature up to 1150℃; it also possesses high creep resistance and creep-rupture strength. It has good resistance to high-temperature corrosion and abrasive corrosion in most gas mediums, along with high yield and tensile strengths at elevated temperatures. Additionally, it offers good formability, weldability, and sufficient machinability.

Section II: Features of 253MA

1. Outperforms 310S and 1Cr20Ni14Si2 with reduced nickel content and lower cost.

At 900°C, it exhibits high strength. In air, under non-pressure conditions, it can be used up to 1150°C, with superior resistance to high-temperature oxidation.

3. The short-term tensile strength at various temperatures is typically 20% higher than that of standard stainless steels (such as 304, 310S).

4. Features long-term high-temperature performance (creep resistance, endurance).
