304N stainless steel, a nitrogen-containing stainless steel, with nitrogen added to enhance the steel's strength.

Features

High in nickel content with low work-hardening rate, 304N stainless steel is suitable for applications requiring high cold-forming properties.

Chemical Composition

Carbon C: ≤0.08

Manganese (Mn): ≤2.00

Silicon (Si): ≤0.75

Chromium (Cr): 18.0~20.0

Nickel (Ni)②: 8.0~10.5

Phosphorus P: ≤0.045

Sulfur: ≤0.03

Nitrogen N: 0.10~0.16

Note: ① All single values are high unless otherwise specified; ② For certain pipe-making processes, some grades of austenitic stainless steel require a slightly higher nickel content than indicated in the table; ③ Optional; ④ Titanium content is 0.10%; ⑤ Content is 0.75%; ⑥ Content is 0.70%.

Heat Treatment Specifications and Microstructure: Heat Treatment Specifications: Solution treated at 1010～1150℃ with rapid quenching. Microstructure: Characterized by Austenitic type.

Shipment Status

Shipped in heat-treated condition unless specified otherwise in the contract; for those not specified, will be shipped in non-heat-treated condition.
