How the Diaphragm Filter Press Plate Expansion System Works
If you're a user of membrane filter presses, you should know that membrane filter presses differ from other filter presses due to the varying expansion rate of the filter plates inside. What is the filter plate expansion system? What role does it play?
After a membrane filter press operates for a period, it cannot continue with solid-liquid separation when the filter cake fills the filter cloth. Therefore, it is difficult for the filter cake to渗出 once it fills the entire filtration chamber. Consequently, the feed system of the membrane filter press stops feeding, and the feed holes are temporarily closed. At this point, the filter plate expansion system of the membrane filter press begins to operate. How does the filter plate expansion system of the membrane filter press work? Firstly, the hydraulic pump is started, and then a continuous stream of hydraulic oil is pressed into the filter plate. The hydraulic oil accumulates in the hollow space of the membrane filter press. As the hydraulic oil continues to increase, the filter plates expand outward. This compresses the filter cake, reducing its volume. At this stage, the filter cake is compressed, and excess liquid is expelled. This significantly reduces the moisture content of the filter cake.
