Steel grating panels, known for their lightweight structure, high strength, energy-saving and environmental protection, and ease of installation, are widely used in many industries. Despite the hot-dipped galvanized surface treatment, the lifespan of steel grating panels varies depending on the different environments of use.
The lifespan of hot-dipped galvanized steel grating varies depending on the application site. Generally, in coastal areas, it's around 20 years. If there is no significant wear on the surface, the lifespan can be extended. In inland areas, due to the dry climate with less rainfall and lower humidity, there are fewer corrosive agents, so the lifespan of the galvanized coating can reach over 30 years. Additionally, the lifespan of steel grating is also related to the industry it is used in; for the chemical industry, with its high corrosiveness, the lifespan of the steel grating is correspondingly reduced. Moreover, there is a difference in lifespan between indoor and outdoor use of steel grating. Therefore, the lifespan of hot-dipped galvanized steel grating is a comprehensive issue that cannot be generalized.
