During the production of steel grating, surface treatment is employed. The galvanized steel grating is immersed in a chromic acid solution, forming an inactive film on the zinc layer. Even if slightly damaged, the chromate near the break will dissolve in water and gather at the broken area, reforming a new film. This effectively prevents the formation of white rust. To prevent direct contact between air and zinc, oil is applied to the galvanized steel grating. Note that before painting, the oil on the steel grating must be wiped off. If the galvanized steel grating is to be used for painting, a phosphate film treatment can be applied. The phosphate will firmly adhere to the surface of the galvanized steel grating, forming a loose and porous structure, providing a good base for paint and achieving a strong adhesion effect.
Galvanized steel grating panels are stored in well-ventilated areas, or dehumidifiers or drying ovens are used during high humidity or extreme temperature fluctuations to prevent condensation. Be cautious not to get them wet; if they do get damp from dew or water, they should be dried. Additionally, you can unpack the packaging and use fans or blowers for air drying. Store them in well-ventilated spaces, avoiding areas prone to condensation due to significant temperature differences.
