What are the structural features of transplanters?

The transplanter is composed of independent planting units, each driven by its ground wheel, thus enabling compatibility with tractors of various sizes. This allows for the formation of transplanters with 2 to 6 rows, featuring a modular design.

Rotary Cup Feeder

The planter features a rotating cup-style feeder. The feeder consists of several feeding cups, with each cup's diameter corresponding to the size of the seedling pots. Each feeding cup is equipped with a flap, which is controlled by a cam mechanism. The flap opens when the feeding cup is above the seedling tube, allowing the seedlings to fall, and then closes. Feeding can be performed during the time when the feeding cups are closed, thereby extending the manual feeding time and enabling rapid, continuous feeding operations. The planter can place up to 60 to 70 seedlings per minute, making it one of the fastest seed-planting frequencies for semi-automatic transplanters in the world. Since the frequency of manual planting is limited, the maximum for the rotating cup-style feeder is 70 seedlings per minute. Exceeding this limit can cause operators to feel stressed, leading to missed plantings.

Railing-style Seedling Supporter

Seeds fall from the guiding tube, pass through a channel formed by support bars, and land in seed furrows created by the tiller. Supported by the bars, the seedlings remain upright and do not topple. As the tiller moves forward, soil from the tiller's rear flows back to cover the seedling roots, creating the first layer of soil cover. The support bars are then buried beneath the soil. As the machinery advances, the V-shaped roller presses the soil against the furrow walls, forming a second layer of soil cover and compacting it. Simultaneously, the support bars move up relative to the seedlings while continuing to support them, preventing the seedlings from being crushed or buried during the soil covering and compaction process. As the machinery moves forward, the support bars gradually detach from the seedlings, completing their supporting task, and the planting process ends. The use of the bar-type support device significantly enhances the verticality of the seedlings and the stability of planting quality.

Lead Seed Pipe

The role of the seedling guide tube is to transport seedlings to the bottom of the furrow. Since the movement of the seedlings within the guide tube is non-forced, unlike the forced seedling delivery method of the clip transplanting machine, it is less likely to cause seedling damage.
