Widespread Application of New Indoor Fire Retardant Materials
In recent years, the application of new fire-resistant materials in interior decoration has gained widespread popularity. These innovative fire-resistant materials enhance the safety and reliability of building systems, with a more pronounced effect. In today's society, there are three commonly used fire-resistant materials for interiors: organic fire-resistant materials; spray fire-resistant materials; and calcium silicate fireboard materials. Organic fire-resistant materials are primarily used in ceiling and wall designs for interior architecture; compared to traditional fire-resistant materials, they offer a series of advantages, such as high-temperature resistance, stability, and difficulty in deforming under low flames. Their oxygen index and flame-retardant properties ensure buildings are less likely to burn in the event of a fire; they also produce lower smoke, emitting very little in intense fires, thus protecting the lives of individuals at the scene. Spray fire-resistant materials have not been widely used in China. These materials are applied to buildings for fire protection, characterized by their non-smoking properties, non-combustible inorganic fibers, lightweight nature, and sound absorption and thermal insulation. Currently, spray fire-resistant materials are extensively used for thermal insulation, fire prevention, and sound absorption in buildings. After inspection by the National Building Material Supervision and Testing Center, their performance has reached the level of similar foreign products.
Our country'sAdvanced non-combustible materials, including the new calcium silicate fire-resistant board, offer flexible installation and excellent fire and heat insulation properties, with exceptional performance in underground damp environments. The use of such fire-resistant materials in systems like hydropower plants offers certain advantages. With the development of China's economy and the improvement of living standards, the application of this material will become more widespread, which is bound to accelerate the development of new fire-resistant materials. In summary, the new fire-resistant materials are not only being used more extensively in our daily lives but also improving the level of urban construction. The social prospects for the widespread use of new fire-resistant materials are vast and worthy of research and promotion. If flammable materials are used in indoor decoration, fires in enclosed spaces can create new sources of combustion. Flammable decorative materials indoors are also prone to explosive combustion, primarily because the heat radiation feedback from flammable materials can lead to a significant increase in internal temperatures, thus reducing the heat release rate required for explosive combustion.
