In vibration damping applications, the inflatable section of the PLM can significantly reduce vibrations above 5.0Hz. The inherent frequency of the PLM is only 3.0Hz. The PLM series air spring elements can also act as dampers when not inflated and pressurized. The vertical inherent frequency is approximately 10 Hz, used to isolate interference frequencies above 14 Hz.

The inherent frequency ratio in both vertical and horizontal directions is approximately 1:1, maintaining high horizontal stability. In applications that reduce impact, the PLM rubber housing supports high compression deformation. Using external shims can prevent the PLM base from detaching, maintaining a natural frequency of 3.0 Hz.
