Before selecting busbars, some friends are confused about the difference between dense busbars and enclosed busbars. Below, the editor from a busbar manufacturer will help distinguish between them.
The dense busbar is characterized by its simple construction, easy maintenance, and features such as a compact size, robust structure, high current transmission capacity, and superior moisture and dust resistance compared to other busbars. It is widely used in engineering projects. The system is suitable for three-phase four-wire and three-phase five-wire power supply equipment with a frequency of 50-60Hz, rated current of 250-2500A, and voltage below 660V. The busbar can withstand a 3750V test voltage at 50Hz for 1 minute without any breakdown or flashover, and can carry the rated working current over a long period without any conductor temperature rising above 60K.
2. Enclosed busway systems are widely used in power, energy chemical, metallurgy, mining, and machinery industries for transmission systems operating at 6-35kV, 50(60) Hz.
The structure of dense busway slots consists of bus cover plates, side plates, copper bars, and insulating materials, featuring a four-panel, three-panel, or two-panel shell design. The copper bars in dense busway slots are tightly adjacent to each other with no gaps, providing excellent heat dissipation.
4. The structure of the enclosed busway is similar to that of the dense busway components; however, there is a gap between the conductors and between phases in the enclosed busway.
