An LNG storage tank is a jacketed vacuum powder-insulated pressure vessel specifically designed for storing and supplying low-temperature liquefied gases (such as liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, liquid carbon dioxide, etc.). 1. Analysis of Low-Temperature Liquid Hazardous Properties

At 0℃ and a pressure of 101.3 KPa, the volume of gas produced from 1L of low-temperature liquid upon vaporization is: nitrogen at 674L, oxygen at 800L, and argon at 780L. Inside sealed containers or pipelines, the increase in internal pressure due to the vaporization of low-temperature liquids can easily lead to overpressure explosions.

1.3 In the surrounding environment of low-temperature storage tanks, after the low-temperature liquid leaks and vaporizes, it is prone to form a rich gas area. If the concentrations of nitrogen, argon, or carbon dioxide are high, asphyxiation injuries can easily occur. Additionally, oxygen-rich injuries can also occur when the oxygen concentration is high.


1.4 Oxygen is a powerful oxidizer with extremely strong oxidizing properties. Liquid oxygen, when in close proximity to combustible materials, can easily ignite upon contact with an open flame; contact with combustible materials can easily lead to explosions due to vibrations or impacts; mixing with combustible materials poses a potential explosive hazard. The origin of China's LPG community gasification is in Shenzhen, Guangdong, and the origin of China's LNG community gasification should be in Zibo, Shandong. This project is the first domestic design for a gasification station that handles unloading, storage, and gasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The LNG is transported to the Zibo Gasification Station from the Zhongyuan Oilfield in低温 tankers.


The Zibo project commenced design in June 1999 and was completed in January 2000. Zibo Gas Company started construction in January 2000, completed the construction in October 2000, and began trial operations using LNG. On December 2, 2001, it commenced supplying LNG, becoming the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) gasification station in China and the largest in Asia. The natural gas is supplied exclusively to industrial users, with a designed capacity of 120,000 Nm3/d.




Qingdao Jiajialing LNG Residential Community Gasification Station


The Jijialing project commenced design in June 2000 and was completed in January 2001; Qingdao Gas Company started construction in January 2001, and the facility was completed and successfully put into trial operation in February 2002. It stands as the first domestic civil liquefied natural gas gasification station, with a design capacity of 20,000 Nm3/d.




Guangdong Longchuan LNG Community Gasification Plant Project


The Longchuan LNG liquefaction plant has a short design and construction period, taking less than a year from design to completion. The grand opening ceremony was held on May 23rd this year. The design capacity is 10,000 Nm3/d.

Although Longchuan Station's LNG currently comes from Puyang, Henan, the operator's sights are set on Shenzhen. Once the Shenzhen LNG receiving station is completed, Longchuan will be the受益者.

The Longchuan LNG Gasification Plant project is a management general contracting project under the Qingdao Chemical Engineering Design Institute.




In China, currently under construction and set to be operational are LNG liquefaction stations in Shangqiu, Henan; Jiangyan and Shuyang, Jiangsu; Fangzi, Shandong; Suzhou, Zhejiang; Miyun, Beijing; and Bengbu, Anhui. In the planning stages are cities such as Yuyao, Zhejiang; Jiujiang, Jiangxi; Weifang, Shandong; Pingdu and Qingzhou; and Xiamen, Fujian. It is said that after completing the construction of the LNG liquefaction station in Longchuan, Guangdong, Shanghai Tongda Energy Co., Ltd. plans to invest in and build LNG community liquefaction stations in cities like Yangjiang, Huide, and Shanwei in Guangdong.


It appears that the recent surge in LNG community gasification in Shandong, China, far surpasses the initial LPG community gasification in Guangdong. It's even faster than Japan's pace of development in the 1970s. Whether it's the scale of construction, speed, organizational form, or the extent of public concern and influence, it is unparalleled by the Guangdong LPG community gasification.
