The utilization and development of natural gas are crucial to optimizing our country's energy structure and promoting ecological civilization. Representatives from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Finance, and other ministries, as well as the State Grid Corporation and the five major power groups, three major oil companies, gas enterprises, the Development Research Center of the State Council, and numerous research institutions and professional industry associations, engaged in a joint exchange and discussion to contribute wisdom to promoting the use and development of natural gas in our country.

One of the advantages of natural gas - safety

The gas density of natural gas is half that of air. Compressed natural gas has a lower density than air, is highly volatile, and not easily explosive. Methane, ethane, propane, and other components in natural gas are inherently non-toxic. In comparison to bottled gas, pipeline gas is safer. This is because pipeline gas utilizes a centralized storage and supply management system from gasification stations, avoiding the safety risks associated with the dispersed storage of bottled gas, liquefied natural gas tanks, and self-provided usage. The indoor pressure of pipeline gas is only 1/130th of that of tap water and 1/170th of bottled gas. The storage capacity of the gas pipeline is very small, roughly 1/3000th of bottled gas when calculating the indoor pipeline length of 12 meters per household. In case of leaks or fires due to other causes, simply closing the main valve or the unit riser valve indoors can cut off the gas supply and mitigate risks. In contrast, when encountering a similar situation, it is difficult to effectively close or remove the petroleum liquefied gas cylinder from a bottle, making explosions highly likely.

Advantage Two of Natural Gas - Economic

Economical and affordable is one of the advantages of natural gas, which is also a reason for the rapid nationwide spread of pipeline natural gas. Compared to other fuel prices at the same usage volume (calorific value), using pipeline natural gas can save at least 25% to 35% in monthly costs compared to bottled LPG. This not only eliminates the expenses of purchasing and regularly inspecting steel cylinders but also reduces the costs and inconvenience associated with transporting and replacing liquefied gas in daily life. The cost of using natural gas is more than 35% cheaper than electricity, and about 25% to 35% cheaper than diesel or heavy oil. The third advantage of natural gas - environmental friendly Natural gas is composed of 98% methane, which is a simple molecule (CH4) consisting of one carbon atom and four hydrogen atoms.


Carbon Dioxide Storage Tank


1 Overview


The low-temperature liquid carbon dioxide storage tank is a double-walled container consisting of an inner and outer vessel. It features vacuum powder insulation and is available in both vertical and horizontal types. The inner vessel is made of 16MnDR material, while the outer vessel can be selected as Q235-B or 16MnR depending on the user's location. The annular space between the inner and outer vessels is filled with insulating pearl sand and evacuated. (Available in both vertical and horizontal configurations)

3 Insulation Performance


Insulation materials are filled with pearl sand in a heated state and then vacuumed. The vacuum standard after the sandwich is sealed is:

4 Security Technical Features


The low-temperature liquid carbon dioxide storage tank utilizes a "combined, safety system valve" that employs two safety valves operating simultaneously. During regular safety valve inspections, one side can be closed while the other continues to function, ensuring the safe operation of the tank.


5 Operating Systems


The tank container is equipped with a pressure gauge, differential pressure level gauge, and a level reference chart at the top, allowing for real-time monitoring of the storage volume and pressure changes. This facilitates operations during filling and draining.


6 Inspection System


The tank bottom is equipped with a dedicated tank vacuum detection system, vacuum gauge, and vacuum valve. The interlayer vacuum can be periodically or as needed checked using a vacuum gauge to ensure the safe operation of the tank.

Liquid Oxygen Storage Tank


Overview


This series of low-temperature storage tanks is a double-layer fixed vacuum powder-insulated tank (tank). The inner tank is made of stainless steel (16MnDR for CO2 tanks), while the outer tank is made of Q235B or 16MnR. Surface anti-corrosion coating is applied through shot blasting, sweeping, and spraying processes, and a two-component quick-curing liquid paint is also used.


Application Scope and Features


Primarily used for low-temperature storage of liquids such as liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide. One cubic meter of liquid can replace 130 gas cylinders. It can eliminate the daily transportation of gas cylinders, saving a significant amount of human and material resources. Widely used in industries such as gas, hospitals, and metal smelting, where large volumes of gas are consumed, it is the best product for centralized gas supply. It features a long service life, compact structure, minimal land use, centralized control, and ease of operation.
