Fire doors are generally located in evacuation routes such as stairwells, lobbies, and corridors. Slight attention to the details of the architectural design can lead to doors being opened, obstructing evacuation routes, reducing effective width, and violating the fundamental principles of personnel evacuation. This phenomenon is particularly pronounced at the junctions of evacuation routes and high-rise residential buildings, and should be given attention and avoided.
Fire doors come in various types, including glazed fire doors, stainless steel fire doors, and ordinary steel fire doors. However, the installation methods are generally the same, depending on the on-site conditions. Some common installation parameters must be taken into account.
1. The installation of fire doors should be conducted according to the type of fire door being used, utilizing the appropriate installation method.
2. Fire door frames can be securely fastened to walls using expansion bolts, or iron pieces can be pre-buried in the holes during wall construction. The frame connectors should be焊接sturdily during installation.
Each side must have at least 3 anchor points, regardless of the connection method between the door frame and the wall, and the connections must be secure.
When installing fire doors, first ensure they are properly aligned and plumb, then temporarily secure them once the size is appropriate, and make necessary corrections and adjustments. Once corrected, proceed with the connection and anchoring.
5. The sliding doors must operate smoothly after installation, allowing for easy sliding. The swing doors should open and close effortlessly and be robust.
6. Fire doors must be equipped with door closers, and sequence controllers must be installed on the opposite doors.
All hardware components such as handles and fireproof locks on fire doors must be complete.
8. The gap between the ground and the surface is no more than 5mm.
Under certain conditions, when there is a Class A fire door leading to an adjacent fire compartment in high-rise buildings, each compartment is allowed only one safe exit. It should be noted that since fire doors can only open in one direction, if the two adjacent partitions have only one safe exit, two fire doors should be installed on the firewall, opening in both directions, to meet the requirements of the fire doors.
