1. Backup Power Supply. Certain power consumers, such as islands far from the mainland, remote pastoral areas, rural regions, military camps, work stations, and radar stations in desert highlands, lack grid electricity supply. In such cases, they need to set up their own power sources. Self-generated power refers to power produced and used independently. In situations where the power generation capacity is not too high, diesel generators often serve as the preferred choice for backup power.

2. Emergency Power Supply. Primarily used for entities that already have a stable and reliable grid power supply, but to prevent unforeseen situations such as circuit failures or temporary power outages, emergency power generation can still be configured. Users of this power supply generally have high requirements for power supply assurance, with even a second or a minute of power outage not being permissible. They must switch to emergency backup power generation instantaneously upon the termination of grid power supply, otherwise significant losses may occur. Such entities include traditional high-assurance power supply units, such as mine and power plant security power supplies, and factories using electric heating equipment.

3. Alternative Power Sources. The role of alternative power sources is to compensate for the inadequacies of the grid power supply. This can occur in two situations: one is when grid power prices are too high, and cost-saving considerations lead to the choice of diesel generators as an alternative power source; the other is when the grid power supply is insufficient, and its use is restricted, with power supply departments reluctantly implementing blackouts and power cuts. In such cases, power consumers need alternative power sources to ensure normal production and operation.

4. Mobile Power Stations. Mobile power stations are portable power generation facilities that are not tied to a fixed location and can be moved around. Diesel generator sets, due to their lightweight, flexible, and easy-to-operate nature, have become a popular choice for mobile power stations. These stations are typically designed as power vehicles, including self-powered vehicles and trailer-mounted power vehicles.
