Hazardous materials are typically raw materials, intermediates, or products in the chemical industry. The choice of transportation methods is primarily based on the physical and chemical properties of the relevant products. If a production, trading, or logistics company needs to transport hazardous materials, they must first have the MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheet) for the product. Products are categorized into three states: solid, liquid, and gas. Solid products are generally transported using flatbed trucks. Gas products are only stored in pressure cylinders or pressure tanks. Liquid products can be transported more flexibly, as their transportation depends heavily on temperature. The following options are available: high-viscosity liquids are typically transported in barrels by flatbed trucks or in insulated and heated tank trucks; chemicals with viscosities similar to water, low vapor pressure, and non-corrosive properties can be transported in standard atmospheric tank trucks; corrosive products can be transported in stainless steel tank trucks.
