Zinc oxide reagents, as a filling material for numerous products, have a variety of manufacturing methods, which are generally not difficult to master. Particularly, the advancement of science and technology has significantly enhanced their production levels. As more and more manufacturers produce this product through different methods, the market supply has become more stable. What are some of the better production methods for high-quality zinc oxide reagents in the industry?

Direct Method

The direct method for producing zinc oxide reagents involves using waste ash, which is purified through a decontamination unit to remove impurities and obtain qualified zinc ash. This qualified zinc ash is then mixed with coal and lime according to technical specifications, crushed, and the crushed material is compressed into balls using a coal ball press. The compressed zinc-containing coal balls are stacked and dried, followed by smelting in a zinc oxide furnace. After reduction, oxidation, and cooling, the high-quality reagent zinc oxide product is collected.

Section Two: Indirect Method

Electrolytically produced zinc ingots are placed in a high-temperature crucible, heated to the specified temperature until melted. Upon further heating, zinc vaporizes, and as it rises through the air, it is oxidized by oxygen to form zinc oxide, emitting a bright light and a decrease in temperature. The resulting zinc oxide particles are then collected in a dust collection chamber through a cooling conveyor tube, with fine particles being captured using fabric bags, thus producing the finished zinc oxide product.

Section 3: Wet Process

Zinc ash reacts with sulfuric acid to produce zinc sulfate, which is then separately reacted with sodium carbonate and ammonia water to produce zinc carbonate and zinc hydroxide, respectively. These are used as raw materials to manufacture zinc oxide reagents. This method is commonly referred to by zinc oxide reagent manufacturers as a widely used production method due to its relatively lower production difficulty and fewer bottlenecks during the production process.
