The格栅cleaning machine is widely used in wastewater treatment plants, stormwater pumping stations, water supply and drainage pumping stations, and water purification plant intake. It is designed to intercept floating coarse debris and heavier accumulations (such as sand, small stones, etc.), typically serving as medium to coarse格栅. This格栅 is particularly suitable for installations with larger angles (such as 90°).
The格栅Cleaning Machine operates on the principle that the rake is initially in an open position and slides down the guide rail. Upon reaching the bottom of the pool, it is controlled by the rake opening and closing mechanism to close, trap debris, and then, under the control of the rake lifting mechanism, it rises along the guide rail. Upon reaching the waste discharge opening, the skimming mechanism completes the waste removal. Finally, under the action of the control components, the rake opens and slides down the guide rail again to continue the next cycle. This action cycle can be automated.
The main process parameters of the grate include the spacing between bars, the flow velocity through the grate, and the head loss. The spacing refers to the distance between adjacent bars. Grates with a spacing greater than 40mm are coarse grates, those with a spacing between 20 to 40mm are medium grates, and those with a spacing less than 20mm are fine grates. The flow velocity through the grate is the speed at which wastewater flows through the bars and the grate. The flow velocity should not be too high, otherwise, it may wash away soft debris that should be intercepted. Conversely, if the flow velocity is too low, larger sand particles in the wastewater may accumulate in front of the grate.
