Primary Causes of Surface Damage on Aluminum Profiles

There is foreign matter adhering to the ingot surface or a deviation in the composition of the ingot. When there are a large number of segregation floaters on the ingot surface and the ingot has not been subjected to homogenization treatment or the treatment is ineffective, there will be a certain number of hard metal particles within the ingot. During the extrusion process, as the metal flows through the working zone, these segregation floaters or hard metal particles may adhere to the surface of the working zone or cause damage to it, ultimately resulting in scratches on the profile surface.

② Debris on the mold cavity or work belt, lower hardness of the mold work belt, causing the surface of the work belt to be damaged and scratched during extrusion.

③ Exposed metal or graphite rods with hard inclusions may cause scratches on the surface of the profile when in contact with the extrusion track or bed.

④During the process of conveying the profile from the discharge track to the tray bed with the fork rod, the profile was damaged due to excessive speed.

⑤ Material scratching caused by manual dragging of profiles on the bed.

⑥Damage is caused during transportation due to friction or pressure between profiles.

Resolve the issue of release.

Enhanced control over ingot quality

Enhance mold quality by regularly nitrogenizing molds and strictly adhering to the nitrogenizing process.

③ Use soft felt to isolate the profiles from auxiliary equipment, minimizing contact damage between the profiles and auxiliary equipment as much as possible.

④Handle materials with care during production, avoiding unnecessary dragging or flipping.

⑤ Aluminum profiles are properly arranged within the material box to minimize friction with each other.
