The basic conditions for biogas fermentation: a strict anaerobic environment; an adequate amount of fermentation material; appropriate fermentation temperature and pH; as well as the correct fermentation strain.
2. Fermentation raw materials can include animal and human waste, which can be directly placed in the pit or composted for 3 to 5 days beforehand. Composting accelerates the enrichment of anaerobic bacteria, speeding up biogas fermentation. If the feedstock is sufficient, gas production usually begins within 2 to 5 days of being added to the pit. Note that the initial biogas, mixed with air from the pit, is difficult to burn and utilize; it can be released directly. Typically, after one or two releases, it can be used normally. Each batch of fermentation raw materials can generally be used for about 3 months; if a larger amount of feedstock is used, the gas production cycle will also increase accordingly. When the gas production rate significantly decreases, it is advisable to prepare the next batch of fermentation raw materials in advance.
3. Biogas Fermentation Feedstock: Human and animal feces are ideal, and can also be mixed with various crop straw, withered branches and leaves, vegetable leaves, agricultural processing waste, organic wastewater, etc.
