A crane is a type of lifting machinery that performs cyclic and intermittent motion. A work cycle consists of lifting the cargo from the picking point, then horizontally moving it to lower the item, followed by a reverse motion to return the cargo mechanism to its original position for the next cycle.

Typically, lifting equipment is composed of lifting mechanisms (for vertical movement of items), travel mechanisms (for the movement of the lifting equipment itself), jib mechanisms, and swing mechanisms (for horizontal movement of items), along with metal structures, power units, control systems, and necessary auxiliary equipment.

Mobile Crane Categories:

1. The Car-mounted Crane. Installed on a general or automotive chassis, this crane offers a low-profile performance equivalent to a truck of the same total weight, meeting technical requirements for road vehicles, allowing unrestricted travel on various road types. Typically equipped with two operating cabins—upper and lower—and requires the extension of stabilizing legs for operation. The lifting capacity ranges widely, from 8 tons to 1,000 tons, with the chassis featuring axles from 2 to 10. It is a highly productive and widely used crane type.

2. Tyre Crane: A crane equipped with a lifting section mounted on a special inflatable tyre chassis. It uses a single engine for both lifting and driving, with a maximum speed of no more than 30KM/H. The vehicle width is also quite wide, making it unsuitable for long-distance travel on highways. It features the ability to lift loads without legs and to transport loads while driving, suitable for lifting operations in areas with limited mobility such as cargo yards, docks, and construction sites.

The All-Terrain Tire Crane is a type of crane developed in the 1970s, featuring a lifting capacity similar to that of a tire crane, with the ability to lift and move without the need for support legs. Its distinguishing features include the structural design of the undercarriage and the enhanced mobility performance resulting from this unique design. The crane's engine is mounted on the undercarriage, which is equipped with two axles and four large, all-terrain tread tires. All four wheels are both driven and steerable, allowing for four-wheel drive when navigating through muddy and uneven terrain. For faster travel on flat surfaces, only the front or rear axles are driven to reduce energy consumption. The crane's documentation indicates "4x4" for four-wheel drive and "4x2" for a configuration where two wheels of the four axles are driven. This model is suitable for operations in confined spaces and offers continuous variable transmission, ensuring the engine does not stall even with sudden changes in road resistance, thereby facilitating the driver's operation. In summary, the All-Terrain Tire Crane is an advanced, powerful, and versatile tire crane with expanded performance capabilities.

4. All-terrain crane. This is a high-performance product that combines the features of both a truck-mounted crane and an off-road crane. It can rapidly transfer and travel long distances like a truck-mounted crane, while also meeting the demands of working in confined, rough, or muddy terrain. It boasts fast driving speed, multi-axle drive, full-wheel steering, three steering modes, large ground clearance, high climbing ability, and the capability to lift loads without the need for support legs. It is a product with great potential for development. However, it comes with a higher price tag and requires a higher level of usage and maintenance expertise.
