Screen printing, also known as silk screen printing, consists of five main elements: the screen, squeegee, ink, printing table, and substrate. The basic principle of screen printing involves using the screen's open mesh areas to allow ink to pass through, while the closed mesh areas prevent ink from passing. During printing, ink is poured onto one end of the screen, and the squeegee applies pressure to the inked areas, moving it evenly towards the other end of the screen. As it moves, the squeegee pushes the ink through the open mesh areas of the design onto the substrate.
