Equipment breakdowns are inevitable during operation, and in the best case, they can be mere inconveniences. In worst-case scenarios, they can even pose life-threatening situations. As such, emergency stop mechanisms are required from the design stage, and both national and industry standards typically include relevant regulations.
So, the CNC wire cutting machines naturally also come with the emergency stop feature. However, due to the unique characteristics of CNC wire cutting, both in design and operation, there are some distinctive aspects. Firstly, CNC wire cutting machines typically feature computer control, with the computer system predominantly using Windows. Frequent use of the emergency stop and power shutdown can inevitably lead to system crashes. Secondly, frequent power interruptions can cause the motor screw positioning to shift, which, in the event of a power outage during processing, will result in deformation of the workpiece dimensions and may even lead to scrapping. Repeated startup and shutdown of the tungsten wire during processing can also cause surface marks on the workpiece and even short-circuit reversals.
Suzhou Santeke Technology Co., Ltd. incorporated multiple emergency stop features in the initial design of their wire-cutting machine. These include: 1. Main power emergency stop, 2. Power supply emergency stop (including wire feeding motor, pump motor, power supplies for all axes, high-frequency output, and various low-voltage control power supplies), and 3. Emergency stop for both wire feeding and pump motors. These stops are categorized for practical use, minimizing the impact on other normal circuits or processing operations!
A. In the event of a failure or accident with winding motors, pump motors, etc., simply press the designated emergency stop; this will have no effect on other controls or computers. B. In case of fires, smoke, or other hazards of unknown origin, shut down the main power emergency stop and the secondary main power switch. C. In the event of cutting path errors, control circuit fans, or failures in various modules, press the power supply emergency stop.
All emergency stop settings or usage should be reasonably employed in accordance with the principle of prioritizing "human safety, equipment safety, and impact on product processing."
