Product Description
Polyacrylonitrile fibers have properties very similar to wool, with good elasticity; they retain a rebound rate of 65% after being stretched by 20%. They are fluffy, curly, and soft, offering 15% better insulation than wool, and are known as synthetic wool. The strength ranges from 22.1 to 48.5 cN/tex, which is 1 to 2.5 times higher than that of wool. They have excellent UV resistance; after one year of outdoor exposure, their strength only decreases by 20%. They can be used to make curtains, drapes, tents, and protective clothing. They are resistant to acids, oxidizers, and general organic solvents, but have poor resistance to alkalies. The softening temperature of the fiber is between 190°C to 230°C.
