How Automatic Welding Equipment Boosts Production Efficiency

     The incorporation of delivery robots in the production process signifies a pursuit of high efficiency and superior welding quality. As a result, the company is seeking breakthroughs in welding speed, with the high precision of the robots in trajectory control serving as a reliable guarantee for high-speed welding.

Dual-machine coordinated welding function.

We often encounter long workpieces with weld seams distributed at both ends. If焊接using just one robot, inconsistencies in welding deformation may occur due to the non-simultaneous welding of both ends, causing the workpiece to twist and deform in the lengthwise direction, making it difficult to meet size requirements after welding. To address this type of workpiece, we commonly use a dual-robot coordinated welding approach, which has led to the development of the dual-robot coordinated welding technology. This technology is frequently employed in the welding of automotive rear axles and mufflers. Two robots correspond to one positioner driven by an external robot axis. On the workpieces laid out along the length of the positioner, there are two mirror-symmetric components with two similar circumferential weld seams. Both robots need to synchronize and coordinate their welding while the positioner rotates, doubling the efficiency of the welding production process.

(2) Advantages of spot welding robots.

If the use of arc welding robots significantly enhances the stability and efficiency of welding quality, spot welding robots offer even more advantages and bring more considerable economic benefits, particularly in: A. During spot welding, robots often integrate the clamp and transformer, reducing transformer capacity to 1/3 to 1/4, saving energy and greatly alleviating the heavy physical labor for operators. B. Spot welding robots have more control methods to adjust the clamp pressure and automatically switch welding conditions, allowing for unique welding sequences at different spot positions, greatly improving spot quality and avoiding issues like missed, overdone, or inaccurately placed spots. C. The spot welding robots have a clear advantage in efficiency, capable of increasing productivity by 8 to 10 times.

A customer experienced a temporary equipment failure. Due to the tight schedule, they temporarily resorted to manual spot welding for the same parts. The result was that four manual welding clamps could only produce 40 pieces during a double shift, while the robot could complete about 90 pieces in a single shift. The D. spot welding robot can utilize some unique robotic technologies to further refine the welding sequence, thereby enhancing both welding efficiency and quality.

For instance, the application of electric welding clamps on robots is not just a change in the method of pressure application; their advantages are more evident in the robot's control over their travel.
