Irrigation System in an Intelligent Greenhouse Tunnel
To ensure the normal operation of the tube micro-irrigation system and extend the service life of micro-irrigation equipment, the key is to use and protect it accurately.
Equipment Processing
The operation of micro-irrigation equipment requires strict adherence to all technical specifications for equipment operation. It is essential to accurately utilize and protect the micro-irrigation equipment. After the initial operation and changeover of equipment, repairs and pressure testing of the pump, pipelines, and intake pools (dams, canals, ponds, etc.) should be conducted to ensure the normal operation of the micro-irrigation equipment.
2. Protection and Preservation
Regular inspections and maintenance of hose micro-irrigation equipment are crucial to ensure the device operates continuously and extends its lifespan. Therefore, enhancing repair and maintenance efforts for the equipment is particularly important.
Ensure regular maintenance and repairs for water source projects like reservoirs, maintaining equipment integrity at all times.
(2) Sediments and pollutants in the reservoir should be cleaned and swept regularly. In open reservoirs, algae thrive in still water, so during irrigation season, green vanadium should be added to the pool at regular intervals to maintain a concentration of 0.1-1.0 ppm, preventing algae proliferation.
(3) No suspended particles larger than 0.8 millimeters are allowed in the water source; otherwise, filtering equipment must be installed.
(4) Repair and maintain pumps according to the pump operation rules. When using them in winter, be cautious to prevent freezing damage to the pump.
(During the operation of the micro-irrigation system, the hoses should be flushed regularly to remove any residual matter and sediment inside. When flushing, unfasten the tie or cap at the end of the hose. After flushing, retie the end and resume normal operation.)
After each fertilization, always flush the pipes with clean water for a period to ensure they are clean.
(7) Upon the end of irrigation for each crop cycle, remove the hoses from the tee in the soil and rinse them with clean water. Then, roll the hoses into coils, labeling them according to the greenhouse or shed number, and store them in a cool, dark, and dry storage room to prevent rodent damage for future use.
(8) For accessories of micro-irrigation equipment, such as tees, reducers, and rigid pipes, it is generally not recommended to disassemble the tee and rigid pipe connections at the end of each irrigation cycle. They should be stored together with flexible hoses in the storage room. Reducers and flexible hoses typically do not need to be separated and can be rolled directly into the flexible hose reel.
(9) When winding hoses, it is generally recommended to roll them according to the original fold lines. Wrinkles should be flattened before rolling.
Due to the thin wall of the hose, typically around 0.2 millimeters, it is important to handle it with care during field work and crop rotation storage to prevent cuts or punctures. Additionally, when rolling the hose, it's best to walk along the edge as you roll, avoiding dragging the hose.
