During the operation of a spiral plate heat exchanger, it is necessary to check the bolts before the equipment starts, to ensure they are properly tightened. If loose bolts are found, they must be fully tightened before the machine can operate normally. When starting the heat exchanger, the cold channel valve should be opened first to expel air, followed by opening the hot channel valve. When shutting down, the opposite procedure should be followed.
Spiral plate heat exchangers come in removable and non-removable types. The removable ones only achieve normal heat exchange after the temperature rises. During this period, the bolts of the flat cover can be inspected and re-tightened. Care must be taken to ensure that the flat cover does not become skewed during the tightening process. When in operation, both the hot and cold inlet valves should be open simultaneously to prevent overpressure on one side.
If there are large particles of impurities in the heat and cold channel heat exchange medium internally, the impurities must first be filtered out before pressure testing can be conducted. Do not use unclean water directly for the operation. Over time, if liquid leakage is detected, the liquid should be analyzed first. If issues such as loose bolts on components are found, they should be tightened promptly. For problems caused by aging gaskets used for sealing, new gaskets should be replaced in a timely manner. When the equipment is not in use for a long period, the bolts should be slightly loosened to extend the gasket's lifespan. However, the bolts should be retightened during use. When stopping operation, the equipment should be cleaned thoroughly, then oxygen-free water should be added for storage and maintenance.
