There are mainly 5 methods for the disposal of recycled cable waste:
1. Hand-peeling Method: Primarily involves manual skinning process, with low efficiency and high costs.
2. Incineration Method: The incineration method is a traditional approach that involves burning the plastic sheath of waste cables, followed by the recovery of the copper within. However, it is relatively polluting to the environment and has a low recovery rate, and it has been banned.
3. Mechanical Stripping Method: This method involves using a cable stripping machine for processing, but still requires manual operation. It is semi-mechanized, with high labor intensity and low efficiency, and is only suitable for stripping thick-wire cables.
4. Chemical Method: A technique for processing waste cables through chemical means. This method has a drawback that the resulting waste liquid cannot be treated, which has a significant impact on the environment, hence it is rarely used.
5. Cryogenic Method: Utilizes liquid nitrogen as a refrigerant to make the waste cables脆 at low temperatures, then separates the plastic sheath from the copper wire segments through crushing and vibration. This method is costly and difficult to industrialize.
