Installation Requirements and Precautions for Pressure Transmitters

Multiple breakthroughs in the pressure transmitter technology field have accelerated the pace of industrial modernization. In response to user demands, pressure transmitters have emerged. Given the complex on-site environments and design requirements, the selection and installation of pressure transmitters also require a "tailor-made" approach. So, let's delve into the installation requirements and precautions for pressure transmitters.

General settings of pressure transmitters and special occasion settings with precautions. To better understand the content, it is roughly divided into two stages: pre-installation preparation of pressure transmitters and requirements and precautions during installation.

Preparation before installing pressure transmitters: The installation of on-site pressure transmitters should comply with the following basic requirements:

Before installation, the pressure transmitter must be checked for its label, model, specifications, material, and accessories.

2. Determination of Installation Location:

Well-lit, easy to operate and maintain. The center distance of the pressure transmitter from the operating ground should be between 1.20m and 1.50m. Place the display where it's easy to see the values. Do not install the equipment in places with vibration, humidity, mechanical damage, strong electromagnetic field interference, high temperature, rapid temperature changes, or corrosive gases.

Do not敲击或振动 the pressure transmitter during installation. The instrument should be securely and flatly installed. The connection and fastening points of the pressure transmitter with equipment, pipes, or components must be uniformly loaded and should not withstand abnormal external forces.

4. Pressure transmitters that require degreasing when installed on special pipelines. Please install after passing the degreasing inspection.

5. Pressure transmitters installed directly on pipelines should be mounted after the pipeline has been swept. When installed simultaneously with piping, please remove the pressure transmitter before purifying the piping.

After the pressure transmitter installed directly onto a pipeline or equipment is completed, a pressure test should be conducted.

7. The junction box should be immediately sealed with the cover and the inlet during the construction process.

When conducting insulation resistance measurements on pressure transmitters, measures should be taken to prevent damage to low-voltage equipment and electronic components.

Ensure the installation height of the low-pressure pressure transmitter matches the height of the pressure collection point.

Pressure Transmitter Installation Steps and Precautions:

The installation of a pressure transmitter is a relatively complex process, requiring consideration of various factors such as the medium being measured, the application scenario, the site environment, and design requirements. Among these, the source of pressure acquisition is a crucial element.

The installation location of the pressure collection source component should be selected at a stable flux position of the object being measured.

When the pressure source component and the temperature source component are located in the same pipe section, they should be installed on the upstream side of the temperature source component. Do not allow the end of the pressure collection source component to extend beyond the inner wall of the machine or pipe.

When testing pressure of turbid materials containing dust, solid particles, sediment, etc., the sampling components should be installed at an upward angle on both vertical and inclined equipment and pipelines. They should be mounted along the direction of material flow on horizontal pipes, forming a sharp angle.

When installing pressure tapping components on horizontal and inclined piping, the tapping point location should meet the following requirements:

Please set it in the upper half of the piping when measuring gas pressure.

When measuring liquid pressure, the lower part of the pipe should be at an angle of 0 to 45 degrees from the horizontal centerline of the pipe.

When measuring steam pressure, it should be done within the upper and lower portions of the pipe, within a range of 0 to 45 degrees from the horizontal centerline of the pipe.

9. Direct Installation: This method is simple and requires minimal materials, offering cost savings in labor and resources. However, it is suitable only for limited and easily manageable environments.
