What are the precautions to take when operating a thermal oil boiler?
1. In the event of a power outage, the circulating pump stops operating. Immediate action must be taken to prevent inactivity and overheating. The emergency power supply should be activated. If there is no emergency power supply, the furnace door should be opened, wet coal should be placed on top to cool down the temperature, and the expansion tank's connection valve to the furnace should be opened. Cold oil should be pumped into the furnace. Simultaneously, the hot oil in the thermal oil boiler should be transferred to the low-level storage tank using a hand pump to draw the oil from the low-level tank to the high-level, maintaining oil movement within the furnace until the oil outlet temperature drops below 100°C.
2. When adding a new heat carrier to a thermal oil boiler that has experienced natural wear, be mindful of dehydration. Perform the addition while the system is in a cold state and ensure it does not come into direct contact with the cold medium that has not been dehydrated.
